Long Distance Ganzfeld was a long distance performance that occurred between Detroit and San Diego in 2011-2012.

In ongoing sessions since December 2011, a conglomeration of Upton Sinclair's Mental Radio and Metzger's Ganzfeld experiments have been attempted with regularity. The "sender" focuses their mental energies on an image during an agreed upon time in an attempt to "broadcast" it to me. I am relaxing in a semi-Ganzfeld state, and draw and write mental impressions. After 5 minutes of “sending,” we reverse this process. I then attempt to transmit an image (here, Werner Herzog eating his shoe) to the "sender." In this step, the person "receiving" writes their mental impressions.
